چکیده

Over many decades, isolated regions (e.g., islands, rural and remote areas) have heavily relied on diesel engine for producing power energy. However, due to depleting fossil fuels concerning emissions, biodiesels could be the substitute in generation sectors. This study developed a single-zone thermodynamic model predict performances such as brake (BP), torque, thermal efficiency (BTE), brake-specific fuel consumption (BSFC) ignition delay (ID) times jojoba biodiesel. The experiments were conducted fully automated, 4-cylinder, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled direct injection 3.7-L fueled with (D100) three blends (JB5, JB10, JB20) validate model. performance simulation results agreed experimental data all tested at 1200 2400 rpm speed 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% loading operation. minimum error (3.7%) was observed BP D100 2000 load, maximum (19.2%) found JB10 25% As load increases from 25 100%, BSFC torque difference between JB20 decreases 10 6.5 9 6%, respectively. A shorter ID time JB5 compared JB20. Furthermore, significant reduction CO (7.55%) HC (6.65%) emission fuel; however, NOx increased up 10.25% under any given conditions.

Theoretical and Experimental Analysis of OM314 Diesel Engine Combustion and Performance Characteristics Fueled with DME

Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition (HCCI) combustion is a pioneer method of combustion in which pre-mixed fuel and oxidizer (typically air) are compressed to the point of auto-ignition. HCCI engines can operate with most alternative fuels, especially, dimethyl ether (DME) which has been tested as a possible diesel fuel due to its simultaneously low NOx and PM emissions. In this paper a ...

Performance and Emissions of a Tractor engine operating on biodiesel-diesel blends with EGR

The influences of different diesel/biodiesel blends and EGR rate on brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC), exhaust gas temperature, NO, HC, CO emissions, are studied and demonstrated. In this paper a four stroke direct injection, water cooled, diesel engine was used. Biodiesel either in neat form or as a blend with diesel fuel is extensively investigated to solve the twin problem of reduction ...
